  • Bahia de La Paz Dolphin Dance

Posted at 4:14 pm by Heidi Benson Stagg, on March 1, 2025

Last week we took Tiki for an afternoon beach walk and on our way back to the marina, we were treated to several pods of dolphins playfully splashing and energetically jumping! We slowed the engine and let them approach us and were rewarded with the most spectacular entertainment for several minutes. I managed to capture a few shots and some video, but nothing does justice to their pure natural beauty than seeing them live.

Spring is such a wonderful time in La Paz! Warm (not hot) days, cool nights and Carnaval on the Malecon.

I adore the patterns made by tiny, burrowing crabs.

I live aboard a 42 ft Tayana Vancouver sailboat, hull #5 laid in 1979, with my husband and little dog. We left our berth of 15 yeas in Alameda, California in the Fall of 2022 and now live in La Paz, Mexico. I enjoy blogging about our journey, cooking in my tiny kitchen and writing short stories.
